Performer and touring artiste in STRAIGHT EIGHT www.myspace.com/straighteighttheoriginalband 3 albums recorded of original compositions, world touring experience with Queen, Slade, Robert Palmer, Darrell Hall and John Oates and signed to RCA, Transatlantic, WEA records. 1983-1993 owner and chief engineer Triple X Recording Studios, West London.

1993 – 2003 created ‘Music to Picture’ production company with co-writer Vyv Hope-Scott and film editor Paul Coppock providing music for film, television, commercials and media. Rick Cassman is the hugely accomplished guitarist and singer with the Deputies. The Deputies are a good time British country rock band. Playing mostly original material from songwriters Rick Cassman (ex Straight Eight) and Brendan Read-Jones (Gnome Sweet Gnome), Mike Howlett (Gong), Richard Lightman (Gonzales), Paul Coppock, Tim Beaton and also featuring Geoff Swettenham on drums and Geoff Mead on piano and hammond organ.
