Trinidad and Tobago soca icon Denise “Saucy” Belfon is celebrating after Drake sampled her hit Work (Put Yuh Back In It) on his new album Maid of Honour.
The sample appears on the track “BBW”, marking a major global crossover moment for the 1998 soca classic. Belfon told CNC3 she is “elated” by the development, saying her phone has been “buzzing nonstop” since the release as fans reacted to the unexpected collaboration.
The track is part of Drake’s surprise three-album drop, which also includes Iceman and Habibti.
