Nastyrck is a multi-instrumentalist, DJ, Producer and Artist, born and raised in Hackney, East London. He is the second eldest sibling of the renowned musical McKenzie family, which includes UK Artist, Labrinth.

His musical roots lie in church where he found a love for music whilst learning to play various instruments and performing with the house band at a very young age, before venturing out as a DJ in his teens. He played on numerous London underground stations and various London venues before turning his hand to production.

Also known as Mac. 1, he serviced most major labels in the UK with official remixes for artists, Amy Winehouse, Kasabian, Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys, N.E.R.D and Labrinth to name a few, before signing to Sony/ATV.

With a fluid approach to production and the creative process as a whole, Nastyrck found himself experimenting with Jungle, delving deep into the roots of its original formation. He began remixing some of the classics by fusing his signature sound with original Amen breaks & Reggae basslines, growing from a Jungle enthusiast & former raver to championing its revival.

This was the journey that led him to the source, the pioneer of Jungle, Paul Ibiza of Ibiza Records. With an immediate connection the two decided to collaborate and rebirth the original sound of Jungle music.

Nastyrck will be releasing his debut Jungle album later this year.
