“I grew up in the capital of Jamaica and then relocated to the leafy hills of St Mary with my siblings and parents. My first day at church I noticed there was a male group of about 6 young men singing together. It intrigued me so I went to join them. This drew to me to music even closer as my Dad was a sound system operator who introduced me to the wonderful sounds of the 70’s reggae music when playing on a Sunday evening. The church had a strong influence on my passion for music. As I grew, I participated with enthusiasm at the local functions and concerts the church had. Teenage years was a step further and by 15/16 I was going to dances with the local sound system performing when the opportunity was given. Oh my the early days, after relocating back in Kingston around 17 I started hearing people saying I can do this. as my neighbour had a system as well and then the art of writing and creating songs became more prominent. Shows and concerts became a normal thing and fast forward today I have made a host of appearances since moving to the UK.”
