Robert Hart, an English vocalist and songwriter born on November 1, 1958, in Bournemouth, is renowned for his dynamic contributions to rock music. Among his notable projects is The Jones Gang, a band he co-founded in 2001 with drummer Kenney Jones, known for his work with The Small Faces and The Who.

The Jones Gang was originally formed for a charity event but evolved into a full project.

Their debut album, Any Day Now, was released in 2005, with Hart co-writing all the songs. The single “Angel”, co-written with Russ Ballard, became a hit, reaching No. 1 on the FMQB Top 40 chart and staying there for 11 weeks.

The band’s lineup later changed, adding members like Johnson Jay, Jim Stapley, and Pat Davey, but Hart remained the lead vocalist. The Jones Gang blended classic rock roots with a modern sound, keeping alive the legacy of the bands its members came from.
